With over 20 years of dedicated experience working with Māori, I bring a rich background rooted in kaupapa Māori and academic pursuit. My journey began with an in-depth study of my family history, uncovering ancestral connections to the land and igniting a passion for Māori land rights and cultural preservation. This led me to pursue formal education, earning qualifications in Maori development from Massey University where I deepened my understanding of legal frameworks. Throughout my career, I've actively engaged in Maori advocacy, collaborating with communities to navigate land court processes, advocate for equitable resource allocation, and foster economic empowerment. Guided by a commitment to honouring Māori traditions and advancing Māori leadership, I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise to support Māori landowners in realising their aspirations for sustainable development and self-determination.
